Develi is the Ankara branch of Develi 1912, a family kebab house that began in Samatya, Istanbul, and has been run by four generations. The restaurant has its own building on Nenehatun Caddesi in Çankaya, close to Filistin Caddesi. The award-winning architect Kaan Çetinkaya designed the space, which has a modern and elegant look, a glass front and a terrace with plants between the tables. The menu is built around kebabs and classic Turkish dishes in the style the Develi family is known for. It works well for a family dinner, a business lunch or a special occasion, and the restaurant takes bookings for birthdays, invitations and group meals. Booking ahead is a good idea in the evening and at weekends. You can reserve on the brand's website or by phone. The Ankara restaurant is one of twelve Develi branches, most of them in Istanbul.
