Adana Sofrası is one of the oldest kebab houses in Ankara. It opened in 1984 on Necatibey Caddesi, and in 2003 it moved to a very large building in Yıldız, Çankaya. The dining hall can seat up to 1,500 people, so it works well for big family meals and groups. The heart of the restaurant is a long open charcoal grill, where cooks prepare Adana kebab, lamb chops, chicken wings and other meat on skewers. The menu also has many cold meze, lahmacun and pide, salads and desserts such as künefe. Alcohol is served with the food. Families like the children's play area, which has its own staff, and there is a garden for summer evenings and a secure car park. The restaurant is open every day from noon until 11 pm.
