About Ulucanlar Cezaevi Müzesi
Ulucanlar Cezaevi Müzesi occupies the former Ulucanlar Prison in Altındağ. The prison opened in 1925, closed in 2006 and reopened as a museum on 15 June 2011 after restoration by Altındağ Belediyesi. Its courtyards display accounts of former prisoners, including writers, journalists and political figures, alongside personal belongings and photographs from their time in prison.
